Country Garden Holdings Company Limited (Country Garden) is an integrated property developer in the People’s Republic of China. The Company’s business comprises construction, fitting, project development, property management, and hotel development and management. It offers various products, including residential projects, such as villas, townhouses and apartment buildings, parking spaces and retail shops. The Company develops and manages hotels within some of its properties. In addition, it develops hotels, which are independent to property developments. As of December 31, 2007, Country Garden and its subsidiaries had 45 projects with an aggregate completed gross floor area (GFA) of 8,760,935 square meters, on which it had built 47,998 units to house an estimated 191,000 people, an aggregate GFA under construction of 9,884,000 square meters, and an aggregate GFA of 28, 680, 443 square meters, relating to land held for development.
