| 工作职责: |
1、Utilizes advanced design skills to create original, innovative designs that appropriately reflect Umbro’s design philosophy and standards.
2、Communicates and presents design concepts.
Produces presentation materials in conjunction with the Design and Category Teams that effectively communicate the concept behind the line for internal and external audiences.
3、Works with Global and Regional design leadership and category team members in Design, Development and Merchandising to ensure feasibility of designs, meeting price point, merchandising needs and product creation timelines.
4、Provides prototype sampling information including fabrication, trim, colour, graphic applications, style, detail, fit requirements, construction detail, etc.
Monitors the development of prototype samples and interacts with Development, Pattern Making, Materials, Field Testing and the Sample Room to exchange ideas and ensure timely completion of each project.
5、Builds a deep understanding of current trends, colour, technology and sports related products through market travel and research to keep abreast of consumer needs as well as future design direction.
Participates in activities that will increase understanding and working knowledge of the products, product lines, product development process, commercialization process and the specific markets in which Umbro does business |

- Actions impacting company image require management oversight and are constrained by policies
Minimum Requirements:
- Typically requires a Bachelors Degree and minimum of 3-4 years directly relevant work experience
Note: One of the following alternatives may be accepted: PhD or Law + 1 yr; Masters + 0-3 yrs; Associates degree + 1-3 yrs; High School + 3-5 yrs
Kay Capabilities (beyond minimum requirements)
Specific Work Experience:
Minimum of 3 years progressively technically sophisticated experience in footwear and equipment product design.
Ability to work alongside the Global Design Team to ensure SMU designs are brand appropriate
Ability to manage 1 project per season at any level up to B (may be required to manage more projects at lower design levels).
Demonstrated ability to apply and perform design skills (drawing/sketching, ideation, color theory, texture, and visual presentation).
Knowledge and sensitivity to trends influencing design in athletic industry.
Demonstrated ability to create market-appropriate product designs within set timelines.
Effective use of computer design applications.
Strong written and oral communication skills, including ability to make persuasive presentations.
Ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines.
Physical Requirements:
Typical Office: This is a typical office job, with no special physical requirements or unusual work environment.
Irregular Work Hours:
Irregular hours may be required around Concept Debut and Product Creation schedule
Technical:
Proven ability to apply and perform design skills such as including drawing/sketching, concept ideation, colour theory, use of texture, spacing and scale, visual presentation development and layout that is supported by a portfolio of non-computer based creative art.
Knowledge and sensitivity to trends influencing design in general and the athletic industry specifically. Demonstrated ability to create market appropriate product designs within set timelines.
Ability to understand and incorporate marketing principles and apply to design.
Demonstrated understanding of the various manufacturing processes as they relate to apparel design.
Demonstrated understanding of pattern making, draping, materials, trims, garment fit/construction
Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills in local market language, including meeting facilitation and presentations.
Ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives.
Strong information seeking skills and drive to make things happen.
Ability to understand challenges or underlying concerns, share ideas, and develop effective responses or elevate to higher management.
